Work. That's what it was about with Tretiak. They would train in all sorts of manners. to try to mimick the game as best they could. Its so important to train in a sport specific manner. Think about it. We as humans are only on this earth for about 75 years. Time is limited. I think the way to progress in any position is to train in a sport specific manner. This is easy to say, but not alot of goalies really do that. It's important to really put on the gear and to "mimick" your position off ice. It increadibility hard to move in a sport specific manner in goalie gear. its hard enough to just play the game on ice. Time is limited.
